155 - Practicing Inclusiveness

Hello my dear friends,

Thank you so much for your loving thoughts and new year greetings card which was received today and I feel so touched by your loving gesture..

I would like to wish all of you and your family a very happy new year. May the Lunar New Year bring peace, joy and abundance to you and your family.

As I do not have the email addresses of Jamalul, Hafiza, Nazmizam, Zuflida, Gunalan.. can you please help me convey my thanks and appreciation to them.

Take good care and see you again.
Warmest regards,
George Lau

Note:

Just to share some thought with you for your awareness and learning.

If I can I will certainly suggest to the world that our common habitual usage of "CNY" should be consciously replaced by "LNY" (Lunar New Year).

Rightfully, it should be known as "Happy Lunar New Year" instead of traditionally called "Happy Chinese New Year". You may ask me why?..

The reason is that "Lunar New Year" does not belong to Chinese although they were the people who discovered the calculation of Lunar Calendar System based on the position of the moon. This festival occasion has over centuries formed a solid part of the Chinese cultural tradition which has in fact no religious/spiritual value in it.

I would suggest to Chinese people as well as non-Chinese people to consider shifting their level of consciousness upward from ego-self (implying that I own it.. and therefore it belongs to me.. and it must be named after me...) to the level of PURE LOVE which is all encompassing!

The fact that the Lunar System is an universal system of earth movement against the moon, and it is NOT owned by any race including Chinese, thus, Chinese do not have any "naming rights" for the festival occasion!..

Furthermore, Lunar New Year for thousands of years has been widely accepted and celebrated by many other races in the world besides Han race in China & Taiwan, there are 54 minorities races in China also celebrating Lunar New Year. Other parts of the world recognizing and celebrating Lunar New Year (to certain extent) include Singaporeans, Malaysians, Thais, Philippinos, Mongolians, Japanese, Korean, Cambodians, Vietnamese, Burmese...

This festival occasion should be regarded as an universal festival and be called Lunar New Year (LNY)..

In raising our loving consciousness for spiritual upliftment, it is necessary to be aware (in our daily life) of the need to practice/lead a life of "inclusiveness" instead of "exclusiveness".

In other words, we must recognize we are "ONE" or "ONENESS" and we are here to share everything in the universal. All men are brothers! (of course also sisters)

In this context, we must learn to recognize the need to reverse our ego thought system and to realize that our consciousness must always vibrate inclusively and NOT exclusively.

This is truly a positive step to nurture and grow PURE LOVE and COMPASSION in our hearts.
