166 - ACIM summary

A Course in Miracles - ACIM (May 7, 2010)

PURPOSE
1. To remember who I am i.e. my true identity/Spirit Self
2. To reverse my thought system i.e. from fear, separation & weakness to Love, Unity & Strength

Two selves
1. Body/ego (form)
2. Spirit (formless)

Body/ego (Form)
• Fear
• Separation
• Weakness/frailty
• Limit (birth & death)
• Changing/changeable/mortal
• Time & space
• See yourself as fragment, come with fear

Spirit (Formless)
• Love
• Unity (join-up)
• Strength
• Unlimited/no beginning no end/all encompassing
• No time no space
• Unchanging, unchangeable, eternity (immortality)

Right-Mind (Whole Mind) Vs Sick-Mind (Deluded-Mind)
• Holy Spirit Vs Body/ego
• Love, Unity & Strength Vs Fear, separation & weakness
• Connected to God Vs Separated from God
• God’s Will Vs Opposing will
• Vision Vs Physical eye sight
• Seeing thro’ Love, Unity & Strength Vs Seeing thro’ fear, separation & weakness
• Seeing thro’ Spirit Eye Vs Seeing thro’ body’s eye
• Light Vs Darkness
• Peace Vs War, conflict
• Forgiveness Vs Unforgiving, sin, anger, grudge, judgment
• Reality Vs Unreal, illusion, dream
• Life Vs Death
• Happy dream (forgive the fearful world) Vs Nightmare (create the fearful world)

Atonement = Healing the sick-mind, awakening, salvation, undoing, forgiving, correction of errors

Spirit ------ Right-mind ------ Vision
Body ------ Sick–mind ------- Physical sight

“Forgive the world, and you will understand that everything that God created cannot have an end, and nothing He did not create is real”
– ACIM (Manual for Teachers pg 52)

God’s Will – everything has been given to You (Spirit), You Are whole, complete, abundant

Ego’s will – bodies, separation, lack, scarcity, self-condemnation

“In order to heal, it thus becomes essential for the teacher of God to let all his own mistakes be corrected. If he senses even the faintest hint of irritation in himself as he responds to anyone, let him instantly realize that he has made an interpretation that is not true.”
– ACIM (Manual for Teachers pg 48)
