Food And Nutrition For Inner Growth 61(Compassion vs wisdom)

  1. Buddhahood consists of Compassion and Wisdom. If a person only has Compassion but NOT Wisdom, then it would not have value at all. In other words, Compassion must be practiced hand in hand with Wisdom. Otherwise, there is no true awakening.
  2. Compassion can only be developed and nurtured outside our comfort zone. To practice true compassion, always go beyond our comfort zone, e.g. Muslims are willing to do things to benefit non-Muslims. Similarly non-Muslims are willing to do things to benefit Muslims.
  3. Be truthful and sincerely ask ourselves simple questions like: can a Buddhist or Christian or Hindu truly want to help Muslims build a surau or mosque? Similarly, can a Muslim truly want to donate money to help non-Muslims build their places of worship? Can Muslims willingly join religious activities of non-Muslims and vice-versa? The fact is that our ego minds control us and mislead us into believing that "we can not do that..that's against our religion.."
  4. The reality in the world is that as long as "Duality or Separation" has crept into our minds to dominate our thought and belief system, the ego just can NOT allow us to practice true compassion.
  5. In truth, if we love and care only for the followers of our own religions, then we can never practice true compassion.
  6. Religions are here to teach us love and compassion for all and love all serve all, but in reality, religions in the world are doing just the opposite, i.e. to separate human beings into groups and to set rigid boundary to the extent of teaching fear to hate and distrust each other.
  7. There is little or no love and care for people outside our own religious groups. Is this what we want in this world?..
