Food And Nutrition For Inner Growth 64 (Success is mother of failure)

  • One renowned Chinese saying: "shibai nai chenggong zhi mu" which means "Failure is the mother of success".
  • In reality, the reverse phrase is even truer of today’s world i.e. "chenggong nai shibai zhi mu" which means "Success often breeds failure" or "Success is the mother of failure".
  • The fact is "Success" can always make people to become much more greedy, arrogant, unkind, cruel, complacent, remain in comfort zone & reluctant to change, deep indulgence in luxuries, acute & widespread corruption, malpractices, abuses & manipulation, thus weakening one's heart, spirit & strength.
  • With the effects of such weaknesses, the fundamental structure of organizations & system can be severely hit over time by human weaknesses.
  • Widespread failures & collapses can be commonly observed in all angles of human beings from personal life, family life, corporate/institution life, community life, society life, national to governmental life.
  • It is obvious that there is a "limited life span" for wellness & power of beings.
  • This explains why all powerful & wealthy empires/regimes in the history of mankind were totally destroyed/vanished, though some had survived even for hundreds of years. All of them finally collapsed after long years of weathering, all due to human characteristics as stated above.
  • Destiny of man is created by his own thoughts & actions. None can withstand the weathering of time if they choose to remain in slumber.
  • Similarly, all wealthy & powerful individuals & families throughout human history cannot maintain their wealth & power for a longer period, most hardly lasted from one to three generations. Not only that, none of them can even prolong their own life for even an extra minute!
  • Think of this reality & I must awake..
  • This goes to lay the truth right in front of me now. I fully acknowledge & accept the true nature of life. Only LOVE is eternal. Nothing else in my life is eternal.
  • Thus, nothing else matters. I realize I must nurture & grow LOVE. I remind myself to be conscious of putting LOVE first in everything I do. I remind myself "A smile is the beginning of peace".
